Chandra Broadwater
Chandra Broadwater, MPH, MFA, CPHQ, CSSBB, serves as Vice President of Quality, Patient Safety and Transformation for UCI Health. She leads quality and safety strategy across the organization’s six-hospital system, integrating academic and community care under a shared vision of high reliability and operational excellence. Ms. Broadwater directs multidisciplinary teams spanning patient safety, clinical transformation and enterprise analytics to implement evidence-based best practices systemwide. Under her leadership, UCI Health has strengthened governance structures, advanced high reliability principles and achieved national recognition for quality performance. A former journalist turned healthcare quality executive, she brings an investigative mindset to healthcare leadership — driving transparency, accountability and continuous learning across departments. She is active in national healthcare organizations and previously served as president of UCLA’s Healthcare Policy and Management Alumni Association.
