Vittorio Gallo

SVP & Chief Scientific Officer, Seattle Children's

Vittorio Gallo is a visionary leader in scientific research and innovation, recognized for advancing biomedical discovery, institutional growth, and pediatric health. At Seattle Children's, he drives research strategy, fosters interdisciplinary collaboration, and aligns scientific innovation with clinical impact. Previously, at Children's National Hospital, he helped develop the Research and Innovation Campus, strengthened faculty development, and expanded research partnerships and funding. Dr. Gallo has chaired National Institutes of Health study sections and serves on a National Academies committee supporting pediatric research. He has also held academic roles at The George Washington University School of Medicine and Yale Child Study Center, bridging basic science and clinical care to improve child health outcomes.
