Sara Singer
Dr. Singer, Professor of Health Policy and Medicine at the Stanford University School of Medicine, Professor of Organizational Behavior by courtesy at the Stanford Graduate School of Business, and Senior Fellow by courtesy at Freeman Spogli Institute for International Studies, is an internationally recognized leader in the field of health care organization and management. She has made major contributions in the areas of safety culture, safety leadership, organizational learning, integrated care, and health delivery innovation implementation. Her research addresses critical issues related to collaboration that promotes technology-enabled future work, team science, health equity, and business sector’s role in promoting employee, consumer, community, and environmental health and well-being. She is particularly noted for developing survey instruments that measure practitioner and patient perspectives on safety climate, safe surgical practice, clinician leadership, team dynamics, organizational learning, integrated care, culture of health, technology-readiness, and technology-assisted work in surgery.
