Satyanarayana Reddy Mukkera
Dr. Mukkera currently serves as Chief Medical Officer of Orlando Regional Medical Center, a Level I trauma center and 800-bed tertiary hospital. In this role, he leads safety and quality initiatives for Orlando Health’s flagship hospital, with a strong focus on reducing mortality and hospital-acquired complications. Prior to his appointment as CMO, Dr. Mukkera served as Chief Quality Officer for the hospital and previously held system-wide quality leadership roles across several Orlando Health facilities, bringing extensive clinical and operational expertise. Under his leadership, the hospital achieved multiple consecutive “A” ratings from The Leapfrog Group and earned high-performance recognition from U.S. News & World Report, including 2 Top 50 designations. In 2023, more than 100 additional lives were saved compared to the prior year, and hospital-acquired infections were reduced to top-quartile performance nationally. Dr. Mukkera holds academic appointments and is board certified in Internal Medicine, Critical Care Medicine, and Neurocritical Care Medicine.
